What’s my role in LWVDC? Where do I fit in? How can I make a difference?
Volunteers power the League! The impact of our organization in Door County is directly related to the generosity of our members, who share their time and their passion empowering voters and defending democracy.
There are dozens of ways to make connections with others and make positive change in our community. Some leadership roles are ongoing and require more of a time commitment; other volunteer roles are for a limited time or just a few hours a month.

Speakers Bureau -The goal of the League of Women Voters of Door County Speakers Bureau (Speakers Bureau) is twofold:
Provide residents of Door County with information on political and civic issues from a nonpartisan perspective.
Build LWV visibility and credibility as a trusted source of information.

Equality Day Car Parade - This is an annual event on August 26th in celebration of Women’s Equality Day and the anniversary of Women’s Suffrage. If you are interested in helping us in 2025 or in future years, please let us know! Current needs are:

Candidate Forums - Help staff and run candidate forums in the county as needed. Each forum requires 7-10 volunteers to function well.
Forum positions include:

2-3 Question Screeners
Greeters
Question RunnersTime commitment - 3-4 hours depending on where you are traveling from

Photographers for events - Help us document LWV events!
